Minnesota

Last Thursday we headed to Minnesota to take in some relaxation and visit family. My cousin, Brad, and his wife, Hadley has their first little boy on June 6. We were very excited to meet Hiram. We had a good weekend spending time with them, my other cousin Naomi & husband, Jason, as well as my Aunt Linda. We spent Thursday night at the waterpark which was part of our hotel. Emma enjoyed it. Perfect size for her age. Friday we went to meet Hiram, Brad, and Hadley. Enjoyed a walk on a beautiful day for some lunch at a nearby cafe and then enjoyed dinner and ice cream later that evening with the 3 of them and Aunt Linda.

Saturday the 4 of us took part in a 5K run and 1/2 mile kids run at the Minnesota Zoo. It was a great course. The girls and I saw the grizzly bears up at the glass as we were running by. We saw antelope, zebras, and ostriches too during the run. Emma did a good job in the kids run. After the run we stuck around for a little while and walked around the zoo. We did not see all of it but definitely need to go back there. I think Emma's favorite part that we saw walking around were the sharks and dolphins.

Saturday afternoon we made a trip to the Mall of America so I could take Emma to the American Girl store. She has 2 bitty twins which I won in a silent auction a couple years ago. We purchased a matching outfit for the two of them. There was still time for another dip in the waterpark on Saturday before heading to Brad & Hadley's for a cookout.

It was a relaxing time. Emma enjoyed the waterpark. We enjoyed being able to see family and meet the newest member. Katherine really enjoyed laying next to Hiram as you will see in the slideshow. She really wanted his fingers. Katherine is 4 months older than Hiram but they are close in size. She is 6 months and he is 2 months - she weighed in at 20lb 6oz at her 6 mo. check and he weighed in around 18lb if I am remembering correctly at his 2 month check. They both like to eat! Saturday night both girls were asleep faster than you can blink it seemed.
