Following Directions

Emma is part of a 6-10 year old developmental soccer program called Sparks. They had their first indoor practice this past Wednesday. Emma's coach for this is a friend of ours, and Emma goes to school with her children. Emma really enjoys soccer, really likes her coach, and is especially good at following directions given to her from other adults. So this first night of practice the coach told all the players to make sure they take their balls inside so they stay warm and she also included to sleep with it. Well, see for yourself... She slept with it for two nights. Her coach was very proud of her.

Lots of fun in December

Here are some photos of what we did this December - picking out our tree and cutting it down; visiting Santa - in Sheboygan this year, we actually didn't even make it to our usual Green Bay Santa this year - not sure how that happened. Cookie cutting and decorating; as well as some Christmas Eve and Day photos. Oh, one other thing we did was bell ringing. Katherine and I did it twice, and Emma went once with friends.

Another look back - November and December

Here's a look back at November and December. Katherine and I went to see Sesame Street Live...Elmo Can't Stop Singing; Ethan and I enjoyed the last Badger home game of the season with a surprise visit by Lizzie; Emma and I went to our annual date of the Nutcracker Ballet performed by a local dance company of Green Bay; Lizzie and I went to an annual Packer game - GB vs. Vikings; Katherine had her first preschool Christmas concert - she did great singing all songs. She knows her Christmas carols! Some photos from October that I forgot - Ethan and I had our photos taken with Bucky Badger at a Women's Hockey game. The girls had some painting fun on a Friday night. We had a snow day - which the girls loved; and we celebrated my birthday with a chocolate cake picked out by my two girls.

A look back - September and October

So it may be 2013 but I have some major catch up to do. I thought the best way would be to sum up the highlights of the months with photos. It's amazing how busy a stay at home Mom can become between taking a 3 year old to preschool, exercising, volunteering at school and on school committees, being a part of a number of Mom's groups, then managing all that needs to be done at home. Life is busy. Needless to say why you have seen so little on here. So a recap of our September and October include taking girls to an annual Badger game - this year a night game. Ethan and I took my sister and brother-in-law to the first home Packer game; the girls raked leaves and played in them; I went to Denver, CO, and ran a half-marathon with my good friend Safiya; Ethan and I enjoyed a couple more Badger games; We celebrated at Ethan's cousin's wedding; Katherine went on her first preschool field trip to a pumpkin patch; we carved pumpkins; went to a Halloween party as a family, went trick or treating; and most exciting we announced that another Treptow will be joining our family at the end of April.
