Welcome to Cora Jeanne

We welcomed to our family a new little girl on May 1, 2013 at 4:58 P.M. Cora Jeanne 7 lb. 10 oz and 21 inches. She is a healthy little girl. The smallest of our three girls by only 4 oz but very petite compared to the other two. But for memory's sake Katherine was 8 lb. 14 oz, 22 inches and a very solid baby. I remember thinking she didn't seem like a newborn. Cora is all newborn. We even needed to find some newborn clothes for her because 3 month clothes are too big...a first for any of our girls.

Her big sisters love and adore her dearly. Katherine didn't like her crying while in the hospital but by the time we came home she announced to us "I am okay with her crying now." Emma loves to hold her baby sister whenever possible. Katherine enjoys singing to her when she is crying in the car. Cora is a pretty good baby. She does seem to like to have our attention right when it's time to eat or prepare dinner, of course but overall she is doing pretty well. She has many admirers between family and friends.

I honestly can't believe that she was born four weeks ago. In many ways I forgot how demanding a newborn can be but she is a blessing to us. Life with three is definitely more of an adjustment than I thought it would be as well. I, apologize, it has taken me four weeks to write this post.
